It’s time once again for the Top 3 Indies Artist Video Countdown of the Top 3 best Indies and Alternative Music artists for the week of Sept 30, 2017!

First up, are a band from Bristol in London named the Jacques. The claim their influence is Desmond Dekker…. Desmond Dekker? Isrealites??? What?

Here’s their Facebook page:

#3) The Jacques   No Kamikaze

Next up is a band from Birmingham in the UK and their name is “MeMe Detroit.” MeMe Detroit is the female leader of the band and she writes:

“True Rock n roll is bold,
It is calm.
It is the dark,
It is the light.
It’s the lifeline to the tortured soul,
It is your strength,
It is your weakness,
It is the soundtrack to your visuals,
It’s the pulse that feeds society.
Rock n roll is a statement…..
THIS is my statement.”

Here is her Facebook page:

#2) MeMe Detroit – How She Runs

At #1 is an artist from Puerto Rico named, Arvelisse Ruby. She is better known as Lola Pistola. Alex over at Wassuprockerradio turns us on to her and her sonic groove. Her bio states: “Following up last year’s premiere of the AJ Dávila produced single “Tú Pensabas”, Discos Diaspora is proud to release Lola Pistola’s newest singles “Everyday” and “Routine”. Currently based in Brooklyn, the Puerto Rican musician has been crafting a more raw, acoustic-inspired sound joined by personal verses within multi-layered atmospheric melodies.”

Here’s her Facebook:

#1) Lola Pistola – Curfew

Spotlight Artist!  Today’s spotlight artists are the main band that appears on the soundtrack of  “Ghostroads – A Japanese Rock n Roll Ghost Story.”  They are the Neatbeats! The Neatbeats are easy to understand for a foreign audience. They are the Japanese Beatles. But this is no crap cover band. No siree! The Neatbeats are one of the best, and most entertaining bands I have ever seen in my life and I have seen LOTS and LOTS of bands. This is the main “Hook” track from Ghostroads but this is the original promo video. It’s great!

Of course, the Neatbeats have a Facebook page:
