It’s time once again for the Top 3 Indies Artist Video Countdown. The Top 3 best Indies and Alternative Music artists for the week of Oct. 22, 2016!

First up is a Garage Rock And Roll outfit lead a mysterious character known as Bobby “Pantichrist” Butler along with 4 other conspirators who make up an awesome group known as “The Shit.” The Shit hail from Switzerland in a town they refer to as “Bern, Baby, Burn!” This hot track is from their brand new 10 inch record entitled, “Rue du Chocolat.” They are even having a release party tonight… I wonder if I can make it there in time to crash it? Next up is a girls duo from Glasgow, Scotland named Honeyblood. Their newest album, “Babes Never Die,” is due out in the USA next week. I really like this a lot. Today’s #1 is an artist that just toured Japan in August. They hail from Brighton, England. The Guardian writes: “Black Honey are one of the indie bands to watch for 2016. They’ve been under the proverbial radar for over a year and in fact they rather like it that way – “If it was my way we’d still be a secret band,” claims the singer – but unfortunately they made the mistake of writing songs with potential mass (indie) appeal. It’s time once again for the Top 3 Indies Artist Video Countdown. The Top 3 best Indies and Alternative Music artists for the week of Oct. 15, 2016!

First up is a guy who was introduced to us by Ginger Wildheart who is a regular on our Top 3. Introducing Chris Catalyst. Chris is a “Bloke in some bands” and he is from Leeds, England. Finally, at #1 is Garbage and their newest single Magnetized. Why did I pick this as this week’s #1? Well, because the little girl who plays Shirley Manson as a child, is my niece! No kidding… Well, not exactly my real niece… But I am proud enough of her and her dad (who is one of my best friends and a legendary stand up bassist) to call them my own. Shirley Manson and Garbage are awesome. Lenore, the little kid, is a natural… And, perhaps a future star? I can see her doing sequels and starring as Carrie….. Lenore! Great job! Well done! SPOTLIGHT ARTIST! Today’s Spotlight Artist is a hot Japanese girl’s rock band from Tokyo named Su Ko D Koi. These girls have been on our Top 3 Video countdown many times. in the past. This time they’ve made a play on Offenbach’s “Heaven and Hell.” (I know that because, even though I am an old punk, I live in a house with classically trained pianists.) Offenbach’s “Heaven and Hell” used to be a staple at children’s Sports Days at elementary schools in Japan… So this is quite humorous for the Japanese. It’s time once again for the Top 3 Video Countdown. The Top 3 best Indies and Alternative Music artists for the week of Oct. 1, 2016!

Starting us off is a hot new act from Mesa, Arizona (I think)… They are an Alternative Music Trio that I have been playing on my radio programs and will world debut their great new song, “Pizza,” tomorrow on WTF? But for today, here is a song that really caught my ear the first time I ever heard it, “To Close to the Flame.”

It’s time once again for the Top 3 Videos! The best of the Top 3 Indies Band videos for Sept. 17, 2016! And, drum roll, please! It’s Ladies Night once again! 4 hot new female fronted acts! First up is a duo from Lancashire in England, Holly and David, and they are called “The Lovely Eggs.” The describe their musical genre as, “You can’t make a square peg fit a round hole.” They also claim that their “NEW F**CKED UP, FUZZED OUT FREAK OUT 7” SINGLE “DRUG BRAGGIN'” (is on sale) NOW!!” Here’s their FB page. At #1 is a sister punk rock duo that I have been pushing BIG TIME for a couple of years now… Now I get to really brag! Guess what? They are opening for Green Day! God! I love it when I can say, “See? I told you so! I told you these girls were going to be big!” They are two sisters from central California. This is about their millionth time on our countdown (OK, well, maybe not quite a million times). Their name is Dog Party. I love this band. I am so proud of these two!!!!

They describe themselves as “Garage punk, inspired by rock ‘n’ roll sounds of the late 1960s, but characterized by mushroom-hair.” I love this band! It’s time once again for the Top 3 Videos! The best of the Top 3 Indies Band videos for August 27, 2016! And, drum roll, please! It’s Ladies Night! 4 hot new female fronted acts!

First up is a “Grrl Grunge” band from South Yorkshire called, “Hands Off Gretel.” Their webpage says, “Hands Off Gretel, a delightful blend of all the best alternative grunge rock music to come out of the 90’s, with a hint of modern day post punk.” Like it? At #2 is probably my personal favorite of this week’s countdown. They are called the “Summer Twins” and they hail from Riverside, California. Their webpages says, “Summer Twins are sisters Chelsea (guitar, vocals)  and Justine Brown (drums, vocals).
