We’re back to Cool & Strange Music for October 24, 2016! Today, once again, we have three really cool & strange music videos that are sure to make you want to unscrew your head. This stuff will blow your mind. At #3 this week is a mashup from an unknown artist. The song is called, “What if PsyTrance Happened in the 20’s?”

OK. I’m an old guy. What is PsyTrance? Wikipedia says, “Psychedelic trance, psytrance or psy is a subgenre of trance music.. Psytrance lies at the hardcore, underground end of the diverse trance spectrum. The genre offers variety in terms of mood, tempo, and style. Some examples include full on, darkpsy, Hi-Tech, progressive, suomi, psy-chill, psycore, psybient, psybreaks, or “adapted” tracks from other music genres.” Got that? Good. Because I have no idea what they are talking about. I guess I need to drop some Methylenedioxymethamphetamine… What’s that? Kid’s today call it, “Ecstacy”? I didn’t know that! Well MDMA or not, this video is cool!

At #2 is a girl named Victoria. Readers who listen to my WTF? radio show or Rakuten Power Morning will recognize this hot new artist! Her name is Victoria and she’s got some fantastic tracks produced by Andy Paley. Andy Paley’s work includes stints as a producer for Madonna, the Ramones, Jonathan Richman, Debbie Harry and Brian Wilson. Andy Paley also did the theme song for the World Famous Rodney on the Roq’s radio show on KROQ Los Angeles! Victoria and Andy made this tune in France and it hasn’t been released yet, so you are in for a treat today!!!! This song is nominated for one of my Top 5 new songs of 2016! (This is a TV commercial, so it’s short. We play the full version on our programs! Fab!)

Finally at this week’s #1 is that Heavy Metal Marching Band from Holland, the mighty Blaas of Glory. They we’re #1 last week with their fantastically hilarious version of Van Halen’s “Why Can’t This Be Love?” This is the first time in history an artist has been #1 on Cool & Strange Music for two weeks in a row!
